When we first got into the mailing list business in 1985, the error factor in mailing lists from mailing list brokers and other sources was running in the area of 15% to 30%. Well, it's still running at about the same level. There is one major deficiency in the mailing list business as a whole. There is no way to check and balance the average mailing list. Most mailing list data is compiled from one central source and is never cross referenced to any other data source. We fixed that problem in "OUR" data aquisition process. During our data aquisition process, we cross reference city engineering plat maps to aerial photographs. We then cross reference that data to U S Postal Service data. Once the physical addresses are finally entered into our database, each address is then back-checked against originally aquired data. At the end of the data aquisition process, we are more than absolutely sure that the physical addresses entered into our final data systems are accurate.
